This file is associated with an hp laserjet printer. Remove the printer, resboot the computer, download latest drivers from hp website (www.hp.com), then reinstall the printer

A GPF occurs when opening Excel files if the user has a Hewlett Packard 4050TN printer driver as their default printer. The problem appears to be related to the version of the printer driver installed. Download the latest PCL6 driver from www.hp.com for your printer. If the problem persists after installing the latest drivers, install a PCL 5 driver for an HP LaserJet 4 printer. This should allow you to use your 4050TN printer without problems.

I have the same problem in my organisation. We however do not want to load a postscript driver because on other computer with the PCL6 driver no problems occur. Is there a different sollution besides the postscript driver? With kind regards, Roald

I am receiving the same gpf when trying to open a report created in MSaccess97. 3 out of 4 users are experiencing same senario? OS=Win98 for all 4 users; uninstalled/reinstalled MSoffice97SR2=n/g. I will try the hp PS driver fix. We are utilizing hplj8000.

Yes, load a Postscript printer driver for your HP Printer instead of the PCL driver and all your troubles will go away.
