i got a virus on my gateway desktop, XP OS. i reformatted my C: drive and my system failed to recognized the modem.

i don't know if i have a modem problem, driver problem or whatever. when i look in device mgt i see no modem and the yellow question marks

i searched for the modem, killed all the processors, reboot, reloaded the OS and physically moved the modem to another slot to no avail

plz help

you need to download on another computer - copy to a cd or a flash drive and install onto the problematic computer from there

i keep getting tips to download drivers off the web but i can't get online b/c of the modem situation. is there another way to get the correct drivers?
