So, I decided to reformat my hard drives to have a lot more space and ram so I can edit my videos. I replaced it with a 250 GB Hard Drive and
at first during reformatting it would shut itself down. I decided to pull out two memory sticks (I have four that total up to 1GB of Ram) and I changed the power supply. Thankfully the reformat worked. Now, the problem is after a couple hours or so my computer shuts itself down.
There was a thermal error apparently, and I type F1 and it's finee. However after a while it does it again and when I type F1 again it quickly shuts off so I can't even get to my desktop.I don't know what to do now, I really don't want to buy a new computer and I googled this problem and A LOT of Dell computers experience this. Also, I've always gotten a fan failure error for the past 2 years of having this computer that's because dell uses special fans apparently? and we use a different one and that's why I get that error (or at least that's what my dad suggests). Please help! I'm in desperate need hopefully that was enough information. Ignore the trials signs it's from Everest. Tech specs: Field Value
