Solved my own problem. There is a problem with Word 2000 and Symantec's WinFax 10.2 that causes a template conflict. Heard there a patch on the Symantec site but need to get my project completed, So I uninstalled WinFax now I can get in to Word 2000.: Clicked on my desk top icon for word 2000 SR1 and got the following "Program Error - WINWORD.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created."when I restart Word get the the same message and word shuts down. I can launch Word from the Works program off the "Start" "Program". Any ideas. Running Dell 8100, Win 2000 pro for the last 8 months and this problem stated yesterday.
