Hi mate. Exactly what you described is what has just begun happening to me. I've just moved from my home for summer, where myself and another computer were connected via a router, to a new student house, with different router hardware, and on my PC and another in the house, Messenger is crashing at the sign-in stage. I've got no idea what is causing it, tried the obvious stuff like reinstalling the latest version etc, and now at the search-round-the-net-for-inspiration stage, and have found you!Did you manage to solve it in the end?
