Our Gateway computer with Windows 98se crashed after getting hit with a popup (I have Spybot and Adaware running, but one got through.)I ran all those again, as well as AOL's protection, cleared out some stuff found by Adaware, but still couldn't boot up my computer. We're on our 5th(or is it 6th?) attempt to reinstall Windows 98SE but the computer keeps freezing at "Setting up hardware and finalizing settings">"System Configuration" (4min remaining). I've tried cleaning the disc (hitting the obvious). What can I do to get this moved along? Thanks for your help!
