Green Tint on Monitor how do I get rid of it!?!?! Post a Reply
From: Sarah on 11/20/2003
My monitor, Hewlett Packard A4033A 21 inch has this green hue when we open any screen that is supposed to be white (ie: messenger, google home or outlook express) and I was wondering if there is any way of fixing it, or if there is a program to tweak it so it will go away. I run Windows XP Home.

Check the blue cable that connects your monitor to the CPU (box with power button) and make sure it's tight.

lolol i just had this issue, CHECK VIDEO CONNECTION TO MONITOR
then, if you have a third party video card adjusting interface like NVIDIA, Check HUE ADJUSTMENT in DISPLAY > ADJUST DESKTOP COLOR SETTINGS >
> 3. APPLY ENHANCEMENTS
SET IT TO (+) 359 degree so its full blue, default color

I went into my display properties, clicked on "settings" and changed my display colors from 256 to "True color 24 bit". That took care of it, for me at least. GL.

I have an IMB thinkpad that loads with a green screen (possibly to save battery by darkening the screen?), it goes away when i put the laptop into standby mode. i myself am looking for a solution to get rid of the problem altogether because i hate having to go into standby to make the screen look normal. i think it has something to do with some kooky gamma loader that comes on during startup.

Probably a bad monitor cord. Try moving the cord around.
