I have odd numbers showing up where my dates should be in Excel. Numbers like: 456728. I reformat them and they seem okay but sometimes they return to the odd numbers. I also cannot get Access to recognize a text column when I link Excel spreadsheets to Access. It changes the text column to Number and gets an error on the record containing a number with an alpha embedded in it. I tried creating a new spreadsheet and this time Access can't even open it. It has a problem recognizing the format. I'm thinking I need to reinstall. Has anyone run into anything like this?
