It seems that everytime i have AOL Instant Messanger open after about 30 mins my computer freezes, and sometimes a blue screen comes up and i took down the two following errors : ERROR:0E: 0028: C0030BAB and ERROR: 06: 9B74: 00008FA0 if someone could please help, i'd appreciate it, some background information is as follows, i am running windows ME, about 700 MHZ, 10 GB hard drive, gateway laptop, i have had a new hard drive installed when i brought the computer to gateway with the problem but as soon as i took it home and started using AIM the problem started again, and it seems like it's only with AOL instant messanger...so any help would be greatly appreciated, my email address is xtoolspx69@aol.com, if u would like to email me thanx...

Several possible fixes:1. Open the "AOL system information" program. On my computer it can be found at: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\aolshare\sysinfo\sinf.exe" Under the "utilities" tab, click the "uninstall aol adapter" (aol can't be running). When aol reloads, it will reinstall the network adapter--i think it then needs a reboot. This may help. 2. Delete temporary internet files, including all offline content. 3. If you're using IE 6; go to the add/remove program control panel. Bring-up the Microsoft Internet Explorer dialog, select "repair" and click ok. Hope this helps...

Try uninstalling AOL and then re-installing it, also run the scanreg/fix option from c:\windows\command\ folders in dos mode Jase
