hi i have a computer and it is a good computer its a windows 98se. i looded a game in and it crash now it won't boot or start. the only thing that starts when i turn it on or plug it in is the cdrom-rw.can you help me fix this problem or direct me to where i can get help? or whats wrong with it. i would rather fix it myself the computer people charge to much. please email me at res208te@verizon.com thanks..

When you boot does it Beep at all? The beeps are codes from the POST (Power ON Self Test) and are listed on the web. Series of long or short beeps identify problems that occur before things like video drivers are loaded.

Check the equipement requirement you need for the game the RAM, video card, precessor and operating system

Can you say where it stops booting? If you can press F8 while it boots, it may get you into safe mode and you can probably remove the game you installed or see where it may have screwed up. The other choice is to try booting from your windows CD and see if you can remove anything that is starting up that shouldn't be.
If your boot sector got wiped, try a search here for boot sector or words like that and try to put the boot sector back.
Sounds like that game was really a virus or something bad.
