Have a 98SE machine with DVD and CD-RW drives. Cabn read a CD on both the DVDF and the CD-RW but the DVD will not play a DVD and the CD-RW will not accept the write function. Believe it is a program I loaded which causes this problem but I do not know which one. Suspect Norton Systemworks 2003 but no proof. Removed the 2003 to no avail. It did not kix the problem. Any helpeciated.
