After further research, I found that this error is cause by usb webcam at startup and is particular to windows ME. If the camera is not plugged in, the error should not appear. My first reply does not resolve the problem.

Have you installed any video codecs from Intel? I had the same error and it seems to stop by uninstalling the Intel codec.: when rebooting, I get an error oe:0187: bff7b018 What is that in reference to and how do I make it stop? Windows ME.

I cannot find reference to your Fatal Exception Error, however, I can recommend that you look at what programs are starting up with your computer. One of them is causing the error. Sometimes, the error message will include a file name or program that is causing the fatal exception error. Determine what programs are starting up by the system information tool (programs-accessories-system tools-system information). Go to the Tools menu and you will see a dianostic for windows. From here, you can see that programs are starting up every time you boot. Try to get rid of programs you don't need (uncheck the box). Try different combinations until you stop getting the error message. Also, consider recent additions to your system; hardware or software. It could be a freeware or shareware program. Hope this gets you started in the right direction. Sorry I was not more help. Feel free to post back if you get any more information about the error message. Computerpilot.
