I have the same problem. Looking for a fix. I leave the machine on at night running various system maintenance programs (virus scanning, scandisk, defrag, etc.), with the DSL modem turned off (to avoid malicious intrusion).About half to two third of the time when I return in the morning, this error message is seen with the blue screen, and I cannot use Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot, but must hit the reset button. Then I often (but not always) get the MS nag about properly shutting down.
