Same exact problem, except that I don't think I had added anything new. I have tried defragmenting, removing numerous unneeded files, rebooting... nothing seems to help!!! I have a cable modem, and on a couple of reboots, my internet seemed to load, but on most attempts, I have had no server connection. When I go to "properties" for IE, clicking the "connections" tab causes my system to freeze. Trying to restart via the Start menu always times out, requiring me to use Ctrl/Alt/Del to close explorer to force a restart. If this doesn't work, I end up just turning the machine off, which sometimes only works if I turn off the power strip! What is going on and how do I fix it???!!!! The strange thing is, about half the time, all programs except for IE seem to work, but I am occasionally get low resources errors as well. If anyone has any idea what might help, please let me know! It would be greatly appreciated, as I am beginning to run out of options.
