Whenever I shut down I get the message

Exception 06 at 0028:00000017 in VxD from 0028:C152B4CA in VxD
VTDI (01) + 000000BA

I have a 3 yr old Gateway 400c running Windows 98

It just so happens that I also have a Motorola Surfboard 4100 modem.
I will call a techie at the cable company to see that they have to say.

I also have tthis problem the only difference is the location it was called from 0028:C1583Faa in VxD VTDI(01)+000000BA. I am using a Motorola Surfboard modem and the other day when I was hooking up a device to my computer , the connection for my modem came loose. The problem went away. I remembered that the cable company said I had to get a driver from their webite to make my modem work since the driver that comes with Windows 98 will not work with the Motorola modem.This different driver may be what is causing the OE.
