I think we are all going to need an operating system here. I think you are running Windows 2000 or Windows XP pro. Please let us know your OS.If you are on a domain, then you will indeed need to talk with your computer guru (aka adminstrator). They probably have restrictions set on your computer regarding this from a Win2k server.
In addition, it is possible to set specific computer restrictions from the administrator account in Windows if you are NOT on a domain. In this case, you will need to log in as the administrator and release the policies set for your computer users. It may make is easier if you simply change your username to administrative rights in Windows 2000 or XP. This may release your problem.
Another possiblity is if you are at work, you may have some sort of web blocker installed. This may be causing a problem as well.
