I have a Firewall running, which I disabled, still did it. I have Norton Antivirus 2000 running. I have IE5, my colours are 16 bit.

I would rename the MSHTML.DLL file and install IE v6.0. This will probably be the easiest and most efficient method to fix your problem.

If this does not work, you can go to plan B. You may need to extract and install a current copy of the DLL file. There is a short description on how to do this here:
