comp wont complete startup ie keeps asking for pas |

my comp keeps asking for username and password but will not let me any further,the only way to shut down is ctr,alt,del running me
any help welcome

Try deleting any files ending in "PWL" (search for "*.pwl" without the quotes and delete all files that are found). Make sure you have disabled any multiple user settings. Also, make sure your network settings are set to 'windows login' and not 'Microsoft Network'. You can find this by righ-clicking "My Network Places" on your desktop and choosing "properties".Computerpilot
