my mates computer got a hard drive and memory upgrade and KRNL386.exe and KERNEL.dll keep screwing up and stopping him from doing anything execpt playing minesweeper

We need you to post his/her particular error message so we can properly diagnose your computer with the disease and issue a cure. In addition, why don't you include the OS and what your mate is doing when he/she gets this particular error message.
