The disk they are asking for is the disk you should have made when you first installed windows (slap on your hand), it doesn't matter anyway.You should be able to boot from the start up disk and just re-install windows. Since you formatted the drive, it may still think there's something on the disk (I assume you don't care about the data now).
Use a DOS boot disk, or drop to dos from your start up disk, and type in
format C:/s/v
It should completely format your C drive, then windows will install OK.
If you are starting over, you should go to corel.com and download their operating system. It's free and it works real good and doesn't crash all the time.
