Check your modem's IRQ settings, and check it in the control panel. I assume you are using a internal modem. The modem may be causing the problem. Why? Because if it only happens when you are online, the only difference is you are using your modem (and whatever software to access the net, and you say you tried different things, re-installing windows is always a good fix too).: My problem is that Windows 98 will almost always crash (freeze) only when Im online. Ive gotten all the updates and Ive tried Netscape but this doesnt help. : Im running a Amd/k62 300 with 64 ram and a 8mg video card etc. Can any one offer any advice? : thanks
