I have an AMD K6-300 processor, 168K RAM, Logitech cordless keybd and mouse, running Windows 98 (1st edition, I think). I have a lot of hardware: CD Rom, Modem, sound card, PCI card with 9-pin com port for my digital camera, 120M floppy zip drive, 2 hard drives, and the usual 1.44M floppy drive. After I've been working on the computer for a while, say an hour or so, the mouse starts hanging up, or "sticking" is more descriptive. For instance, if I click on something, and move the mouse, the cursor stays where I clicked for a second, and then flies across the screen to where I've moved the mouse. It also happens when I haven't clicked anything. I notice it a lot playing solitaire. What I have tried: -installed more memory -put my old corded mouse back on the system -I have 3 ways to connect a mouse: PS/2 port, Com1 port, and a USB mouse port. I've tried them all with both mice, corded and cordless. -Using a different mousepad -I haven't cleaned the mouse, as it is new. I don't think it is the CPU getting overheated; when I reboot the computer, the mouse is back to behaving again, for a while. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Out of all you tried, did you say you tried a basic system (without all the hardware upgrades and drivers) and a corded moues ONLY ?If it works, from there you can add things till you find the problem maker. : I have an AMD K6-300 processor, 168K RAM, Logitech cordless keybd and mouse, running Windows 98 (1st edition, I think).
