The address book files have a .wab extention. If you do a find with "*.wab", you will probably find your address book file.
If you move it to a back up folder, next time you start outlook, it will create a new address book (with NO entries, you have to put in all new info). You may be able to peek at the old data if you open the file using note pad or word pad. It will look a bit strange, but the info should be there.
The other thing might be to remove outlook and re-install it.
However, it may leave behind some nasty registry entries (isn't that wonderful? what good is a uninstall that leaves crap behind?) and you should use a $$$ pay for program to remove those if you still have problems after a re-install.
Also, hope that the re-install puts in a new set of dll's for you. Maybe after the un-install, move the pstprx.dll to a back up folder and see if it installs a new one for you.
Better idea: Cut your losses now and get a real e-mail program, quit using all the stock stuff MS drolls out and your life will get better.
: I have outlook 98 version 5 running on windows 98 and the I cannot see all the contacts in the address book. I understand that I may of corrupted the pstprx.dll file. Is there someone that can send this dll to me and I will try to see if that works?
