Upgrade to Win 98 if you haven't already. If you have, then run the windows install again and it should install "fresh" DLL's.I can say that most of the weird problems I had with Win 95 went away with 98 and I haven't had to reload it yet (knock on wood!). Figure you have to pay $80 more for a proper working version of Win 95 (it's now called 98).
: If I open My Computer, and then try to open it again, before navigating to anything inside it, I get an error, and I have to 'Restore My Active Desktop.'
: This doesn't happen if I say, open My Computer, click on 'C drive' and then open My computer
: If I change the 'Folder Options' to web style, it is worse; it crashes whenever I click on anything inside My Computer.
: What would be the typical cause of something like this? I can replicate it consistantly, and can avoid it, but need to fix it. Would it be a registry problem or a .dll problem. Thanks for any help
