: Win 98 causes a fatal error everytime while shutting down, and so needing to reset. Can anyone help?

I'm no expert, but I fixed that problem on mine by doing windows update. If you click on your star menu, the towards the top you'll see a windows update icon, click it and look for a download the fixes hangs when windows shuts down. download and install. It worked for me.
