I'm running Win98se, AMD 1.4, 266 DDR memory. Have no idea why I keep getting this error message.

Just fixed one. It was new.net starting up in msconfig.

I also get 0E at 018F:BFF9DFFF (later followed by 178f:000095D4).
I think it has something to do with my graphics card or its driver.
(I have the latest driver).
I have an ATI expert 2000 (rage128 chip).

Solution : in the settings for graphics (advanced) do not use full hardware acceleration (I use step 2 of 4).
This avoids the problem, but then several games can't be played properly. :-(

So I'd love to hear about a better solution.

Regards,
Adapa

I got fatal exception OE at 018F:BFF9DFFF with blue screen crash when I tried to use Word with Windows 98. I tried reloading Word and Works but kept getting warnings that Task Launcher couldnt be found. I then ran Adaware which found something in the registry (ad/trojan?) even though I use Norton Liveupdate etc. I delted the "ad" and then took Word and Works right out, reloaded from the beginning using official Certificate numbers which allowed proper loading including task launcher - hey presto !
