Make sure your power supply has enough juice to power that large of a CPU! You'll need an athlon approved 300+watt.
Check here for AMD recommended ones:

Power supplys do mean a LOT to athlons... My old power supply couldn't even turn on a Duron 750! Durons take a LOT less power than Thunderbirds (Athlons). T-birds also create a LOT more heat because of this, so make sure you have a large hs/fan on it.
Good Luck!
: I just upgraded from a 750 Duron to 1.13 Athlon. The scrren just stays blank, i refeched cmos by taking batter because there isnt a refresh jumper. My motherboard is only 200mhz bus but the 1.13 is 266. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-7ZXR REV 1.o. i tried messing with the ram taking out adding. Video is ok just the whole thing was it was working fine with teh 750 then i put in teh 1.13 and now nothing. I put the 750 back in and it dont work i tested the 1.13 in another box and it works fine.
: Thanks Joe
