: I believe this is similar to other ole errors that are connected with the services interacting with the unstable desktop of MS...just go to services and check which ones are intercting and un select...works for me

I had this error message on a machine running NT4. Error turned out to be caused by a user installed AOL Instant Messager. yes, I'm getting it on my NT 4 workstation. It's been happening for about a week. I also get a MGAVRTCL that needs to have end task done. I found out that is a McAfee utility. The last thing I did was to download a little program that watches what I'm doing and gives me points if I purchase from some sites. Might be that. ExchangeThe solution I employed was throw this useless sack of Microsoft poo away and replace the entire system with a Linux box. :-) Pete
