We are using Microsoft Word 97, LaserJet 5N printer and are having problems with one computer only. Whenever she uses "bold formatting" in her documents, the page and normal view look fine on the screen, but when she prints to the network printer her "bold formatting" looks like it has dropped a half line from the rest of the text. Can't figure out how to fix this because the printer is shared and it doesn't happen to anyone else in the office. Can't find any settings in Word that may cause it either. Please help!

Try this: in the menu bar, click on Tools and then the Compatibility tab. Disable the extra space in the Exact line height feature in the list.Good luck' Gerard : We are using Microsoft Word 97, LaserJet 5N printer and are having problems with one computer only. I looked under Compatibility and the only statment that comes close is "Don't center "exact line height" lines. Is that the one you are referring to?: Try this: in the menu bar, click on Tools and then the Compatibility tab.
