I am getting error 0177-BFF83BEA during power-up if my system. installed a cd-rw drive on 11/23/01. Could it be the cd-rw-drive software? Help

Did anyone find a cause for this problem. It definitely is related to the operating system, in my case windows 98. I have a Que! CD rom and have the same problem frequently.
