Same problem only it's a Win98 machine. My customer is also using Norton Crash Guard, (I suspected this at first but it doesn't seem to be the offender). Also has a BSOD every time he accesses the CDRW so I thought that the TDK software might be a culprit. Blew it away but still no luck.
I too have had no luck finding out what "OleMainThreadWndName" does other than playing some part in database access (could be wrong there). Any help would be appreciated.

Regards, Steve: I recently Nuked my box then installed a fresh copy of WinME. I get that same "OleMainThreadWndName" crap too.. Norton Crash guard picks it up for me everytime. however I did notice it to happen just before that little "Update Reminder" but I think that was just a coincidence. another neat litle problem is my CS32.exe gets slammed too.. I believe that to be Norton Clean Sweep but I havent really interogated that one yet. but mack to the OLEMAIN thingy, Registry Keys are all chineese to me.. I want to know what the heck the program is used for.. where does it come from... and what needs to USE it.. cause if I dont NEED it... then I dont WANT it... that simple.. : As far as in my taskbar I have:
