i work for dell and i have a cust using the Rage 128 Pro, 16MB video card recieving this error... so it's not specific with the TNT video card, or nvidia drivers... but the exact error he is getting is

fatal exception 0e has occured 0028:c004f320nvxd vcache "01" + 00000b20

just thought you might want to know that it's not specific to that one video card

Everyone I know that gets this error has this video card. I am pretty sure that it is the video card.

Other possibilities have related to bad RAM (not likely in this case) or multiple devices sharing IRQ (only possible if the video card is one of them).

Hope this helps reiterate my past post.

I am getting the same error message along with the blue screen. However mine seems to happen only when I try to use my internal zip drive. It doesn't happen all the time just every once in a while.

Too many times, I see individuals on this board reinstall an OS when the tough get rough. This would most likely still result in the same error message.

The problem is associated with your video card. I am quite convinced that this video card performs well...in between blue screens.

I would attempt to locate a newer driver version on their website. You can also 'tweak' the settings to something a bit lower. There might be different combinations of fixes available with changing your memory settings or registry settings, but I would not recommend it.

Also, there are some individuals that have created tweak programs and rogue drivers for this card. You may try one of their drivers/programs to see if you can get the card working properly.

If all else fails, change your screen resolution size and/or color depth as a test. There may be some unstable combinations.

This error will not occur in Windows XP or 2000. Your games are compatible with both OSs.

Please feel free to post back after you have tried my suggestions. I can give you a few registry edit suggestions, but I do not want to do this, only as a last resort.
