Network adapter- tcp/ip Post a Reply
From: James on 01/29/2002
My operating system is windows 98 se, I have an intel 810 chipset. My system has a built in 10/100 fast ethernet adapter Davicom 9102/A. I downloaded PalTalk and tried to uninstall it after I encountered some problems with it. I was not able to uninstall the complete program. My system hung up and I shut it down. After I rebooted my system I was unable to connect to the internet. I have high speed cable access. After doing some trobleshooting I found out that my network card was not in the device manager, so I attempted to reinstall the driver for the network card and bind the tcp/ip. I shut my computer down and was still unable to connect. After several attempts I eas able to connect. But my system is sluggish and if I shut it down I lose connectivity.
