Hello...I pretty sure you have a bad stick of memory. I would have suspected a virus, but you did say it happened even after you reloaded Windoz. If you have 2 sticks.. just remove one and try for a bit.. then put that one back in and take the other out. If you have only one stick of memory... borrow one from somebody and try a new stick. I not a great believer in Virus's causing hardware to fail, but if the virus has caused you machine to shutdown in the middle of an execution.. it will damage the memory and the harddrive. Harddrive being my second choice if the problem continues after testing the memory.
