hey hey ahh ok.well my parents got mad at me and made me take my computer apart so i take it downstairs and hook it up and get it to run fine the first time.. but my keyboard wont work and stuff
so i restart it and .. now its like I HATE YOU.. goes to the boot menue w/ safemode and normal mode and stuff.. so i click normal mode
and i wait for like 30 min for something to happen.. it finally gives me a windows protection error bsod and shuts down.. so i try safe mode which goes faster, but still takes lik 20 min.. and says this time.. error:oe:1067:BFF8E64B bsod.. and shuts down (blue screen of death).. so i do this continueally.. before wising up and checking to make sure nothign is loose . like ram.. nothing is.. and i have ME on my computer for starters.. so i am now hopelessly lost.. plz help!!!

: Chris,
: I recently ran into the same issue with the Error OE at 0167: on bootup. I reformatted my machine and it worked fine...for awhile. (about a month) I did a lot of research and found out that the problem could be memory. I knew it had to be hardware since I had reformatted. I tested it several times and almost everytime I rebooted or shut down, it came back. So, I took out some memory that I used for upgrading about a year ago, which worked great for a year. I tried rebooting and shutting down about 50 times and the error never came back. Try that if the reinstall of Windows ME doesn't work.

: : I am using Windows ME and when I boot up a blue screen pops up with this error message:

: : ERROR: OE : 0167 : BFF8E64B
