**********************ANSWER******************

From the following site:

http://www.northlanddigital.com/Error.htm

"EXPLORER CAUSED AN INVALID PAGE FAULT IN MODULE KERNAL32.DLL AT XX"

CAUSE:
THIS ERROR MAY HAPPEN WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO OPEN CONTROL PANEL AND A NECESSARY FILE IS DAMAGED. THE TEXT MAY REFER TO KERNAL32.DLL OR A FILE WITH A CONTROL PANEL EXTENSION (.CPL)

RESOLUTION:
TO REPLACE A ".CPL" FILE YOU MAY REINSTALL WINDOWS OR YOU CAN IDENTIFY THE FAULTY ".CPL" FILE BY USING "FILE FINDER" TO LOCATE THE ".CPL" FILES IN YOUR SYSTEM AND DOUBLE CLICKING EACH ONE TO SEE IF IT WORKS. TO REPLACE THE FILE YOU WILL NEED TO LOCATE IT ON YOUR WINDOWS CD AND EXTRACT IT."

Make sure you CHECK EACH ".CPL" ".DLL" FILE for the "NAME" of WHAT IT CONTROLS IN the CONTROL PANEL by CHECKING the PROPERTIES of the files. Check the MIDDLE TAB & the NAME OF THE APPLICATION THAT THE ".DLL" CONTOLS. DOUBLE CLICK ON IT TO SEE IF IT WORKS.

If the .DLL does not function, you have found the problem file.

PERFORM: "REPAIR IE" in:
START BUTTON > PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > SYSTEM TOOLS > SYSTEM INFORMATION > TOOLS > REPAIR INTERNET EXPLORER.

REBOOT when done.

Do a SCAN DISK, DEFRAG, then REBOOT again.

If the ERROR is still there, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE AND EXTRACT THE FILE FROM THE CD, NOT the CABS, (the CAB file MIGHT BE DAMAGED ALSO), TO THE SAME FOLDER IN C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM (most likely).

If all else fails, bcak up the personal stuff and do a FORMAT and REPARTITION the HDD and RELOAD WINDOWS FROM THE CD. HAVE THE PRODUCT KEY HANDY for the reinstall.
It should be fixed after this remedy.
