Can I "stretch" a partition to make it b Post a Reply

Just to let you know, there's a FREE program (GNU open source) that's like partition magic that I found that lets you "stretch" or "shrink" partitions called "Parted Magic".

It's easy to use and fully GUI like. I am impressed with this utility and am so glad I found it. It includes some other free tools that may get you out of a bind sometime, like the ability to mount disks and copy files with a GUI from the bootable CD.

The download is free and you simply burn your own CD from a ISO file and then boot from the CD. I used it to stretch my win NT partition because I had installed a new large 500 GB drive because windows 2000 didn't know how to access the whole thing (I posted details in another post about limitations of drives over 137 GB).
