My first supicion is to reseat the RAM. Since it's winter and we usually use heat, make certain you do not discharge static on your RAM. So ground yourself, first! you can clean the pins on the chip with a pencil eraser or rubbing gently between two pieces of paper. Try not to touch the pins. Chip creap is very common and is effected from 60-90 degrees F. Then, yeah check to see your case, PS and CPU fans are working, mostly dust-free, and securely mounted CPU. I have seen Bakelite dryrot with the slightest of handling. I always inspect my capacitors when the case is open. If you have a vid card, reseat that, too.
