My hp pavillion computer crashed when I was installing a Linksys wireless router. I ran the recovery but the computer will not start. I get the following message: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <windows root>\system32\hall.dll. Please re-install a copy of the above file. HP tech. says to run recovery cd, but he says this will delete all of my digital photo files (no back up files). Can you help me fix this problem without losing my data / photos ? I am desparate. Please help Thanks
