I've had this problem for weeks intermittently, but now it's taken over, and I'm out of town on business. I can't send emails. I have a HP Pavilion running Windows XP and Office 2000. I can get mail. When I try to send, however, I get a McAfee VirusScan window that says "Scanning and Sending. The email I had tried to send shows up in a list of emails that "could not be sent." Under "Status" there's a hotlink called "Protocol Error." That link opens a "VBScript: McAfee VirusScan" window. It says Command sent was: "RCPT TO (my email address), Relaying Denied. Consult the online help for your e-mail program for more information on this error. Contact your email provider if the problem persists." I've called HP, McAffee and Microsoft, and they all blame the other guy and offer no advice. Well, now I'm in a fix, and I need help. Anybody out there heard of this peculiar error?
