Insert System disk in drive and press any key when Post a Reply

I am working on a laptop for a customer.
It is a Toshiba Portege 3110CT with windows 98.

Originally I was getting the
PXE-E61 Media test failure
PXE-M0F Exiting LANDesk Service Agent II
Insert system disk in drive
press any key when ready

I fixed the first two lines, but still get the error:
insert system disk in drive
press any key when ready

This is a rather old Pentium II laptop with no onboard removable media other then a PCMCIA. I have my personal USB floppy, but there is no USB power during the boot stage it gets too.

If there is any way to run some scans and utilities from an outside source...I would love to know.

I am thinking about putting the HDD into an external closure that I own, but im not sure if I can re-install windows through the enclosure.

Please give me some input
Thanks

It's too bad you wouldn't like to help others and tell us how you fixed the first two problems.
The other problem I had once and removing the HDD and placing it on another computer and loading everything I needed that way worked.
Later on I installed Linux on it and it's faster and still a very useful computer with less crashes and problems.
