Hi
I am using a compaq pressario 7500, running windows xp pro (first mistake of the day. have unplugged memory board, looked to replace changed mind. have seated it properly as far as I can see. now when i start up I get a blank screen. when I start up with restore cd i get the following message:
while intializing device VCACHE:
windows protection error. you need to restart your computer. tried that and I just go into a loop of getting the above error message. Have checked and memory is seated correctly, can see no loose cables/plugs etc. so i have been trawling the forums and this looked like it might provide an answerMany thanks in advance
