I'm moving a web site over to a new server. The site contains a Bulletin board that uses two files (1)a BBS.Dll and (2)Redirect.Dll the program was originally installed on the C drive and now we're moving it to a new server and want to run it on the D drive. The program will not work on the D drive of the new server. The new server is 2003, the old server was 2000. I've tried to register the Dll's but without success. I think the code in the Dll's stores data on the C drive and since Dll's are compiled code and I don't have any idea what the source code is - - I'm !@#$%^&*()_. Another complication is there is NO documentation regarding this application which was hard coded. The suggestion was made to rewrite the DLL's but without knowing exactly what they do I feel it would be futile to make the attempt. Someone suggested that 2003 server has a setting that can be set to read the DLL and store the data on the correct drive if pointed to.
