On startup, XP errors on paging file, resetting pa Post a Reply
From: Tim on 08/19/2004
I have a Dell 4400 running XP. Booting takes forever. When I finally get to the logon screen, I get an error stating that virtual memory minimum is too low, and the system is going to increase it. It also suggests going into the control panel (system) and increasing the paging file space. I have done this numerous times but it doesn't seem to correct anything. The system in the meantime is very slow. Opening programs takes a while.
Is this a worm, virus, hijacking or what? Norton doesn't find any problems.
