i am having the PXE-E61 error, and have already verified the boot order, which was fine. i would like to check the cables before i send the machine in for servicing, since that will take weeks. is there any information on the web on how to open your thinkpad? I have the t23.
for a review of the problem
i'm running windows xp, and one day the computer stopped booting. as previously mentioned, i have already verified, and the computer is attempting to boot from the hard drive, and i have completely turned off the option to boot from the LAN.

ps -- in case i have to take the computer in, does anyone have recomendations for ibm repairs in the la area?
