At shutdown, my computer comes up with the bluescreen and file name: vwin32(05)+ 000012d0 error: 0e: 0028: c02a4a8.
Why and what is this? Could this be caused by my McAfee antivirus software? I keep having trouble with it. 3 times I've had to uninstall and reinstall because a message came up stating that my software was installed improperly or there were missing components.
I have Windows Me.
Thanks for any help.

THIS PROBLEM'S SOLUTION CAN BE FOUND AT MICROSOFT'S KNOWLEDGE BASE.

THIS ERROR IS CAUSED BY AN OLDER VERSION OF SYMANTEC NORTON ANTIVIRUS. CLCIK START, RUN, REGEDIT. EDIT CONFIG.SYS LOCATED UNDER THE WINDOWS MENU "FIND" THEN CLICK ON "SEARCH" IN THE FIND BOC TYPE SYMEVNT.386, HIT ENTER. PLACE A SEMI COLON(;) AT THE BEGGINING OF THE LINE THAT CONTAINS "SYMEVNT.386, SAVE IT UNDER THE MENU FOR FILE, NOT SAVE AS. JUST SAVE. RESTART YOUR MACHINE, AND SEE IF THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY, OTHERWISE MICROSOFT RECCOMENDS CALLING SYMANTEC.

I suggest to upgrade USB drivers from motherboard, also check versions of Windows Socket files.

I have this problem with ME and the problem arrived with one of the upgrades to McAfee Virus protection and I'll bet dollars to donuts that is the problem with mine.

i have the same problem also .
i have found a few hits .
one stated .
'It seems to be installer related. How about uninstalling media player via add/remove programs, windows setup, then reinstalling it? Then update Win Media Player to the latest version. I think the mp3 files are not downloading and installing correctly or some third party downloading software is conflicting. '

..
i still cannot resolve my problem yet ..bloody annoying !
