Windows Media Player and Quicktime crash Windows 9 Post a Reply
From: Hiperu on 06/24/2002
Whenever I open files on Windows Media Player and Quicktime, the files won't play, and the programs stop responding. If I press Ctrl-Alt-Delete after that, the computer completely freezes. Playing avis and the like (by using Windows Media Player probably) on another video player will also crash it. This problem seems to begin after I tried to install Adobe Premiere, which also crashed my computer. Any help will be appreciated.

I had to COMPLETELY uninstall quicktime and all its devices to get premiere to run. Don't need qt anyway.

In addition, I recently found out that clicking on "Audio Properties" in Sound Recorder also crashes my Windows 98. When I attempted to reinstall Quicktime, it also freezes my computer during set-up. The program I tried to download before was Adobe Premiere demo, not Adobe Premiere.
