I have upgrades to AutoCAD Lt 2004 on a new computer running Window XP professional. Every time I try to use the properties icon in AutoCAD Lt I get a fatal error with the message Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 6318bde4h. What can be done?

See jeremy's suggestion below...it worked for me!! I was hesitant to hit the "repair" button because I didn't really know what the outcome would be, but it took about 5 minutes. Once it was done, I opened AutoCAD with no problem at all. Jeremy, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

(I'm french ;) ) I had the same probleme, you have to repair the registry, open "add and remove softwares" under control panel like if you want uninstall autocad but instead of click on uninstall, click on modify. here an autocad window open, click on repair and then repair registry! and it normaly will run!

You must have run a registry cleaning tool and removed the files that are required to run the properties icon on your autocad tool bar. Restore the files. I use regscrubxp it allows backup of registry.

Peter, Did you ever get a response to this question? Did you find a way to resolve it yourself. I have this problem too and it [as you know] is very frustrating. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
