Here is something you can try IF you already have a different method for connecting your dsl:

for windows users do the following:

1. click Start\Run, then type in msconfig

2. click the Startup tab.

3. UNcheck Connection Manager, AND UNcheck IPMon32

this cleared it up for me, since my last install of my yahoo dsl cd it dl and upgraded and for some reason started using the dialup box to connect which suited me just fine since it autoconnects much more readily anyway.

Just got rid of that error message by deleting an old SBC program called Connection Manager. Did this after talking with 2nd level SBC DSL tech support. Apparently this program is not needed if u have windows XP and a router or newer modem.

This problem started when I upgraded to the high speed SBC DSL. I spent hours on the phone with SBC. I unstalled/reinstalled several times. Nothing worked. Are there any solutions out there?

well the resolution for the CCD issue is to rip/reinstall the sbc applications .... and it would surely work

The best bet would be to uninstall and reinstall the sbc applications and reinstall them back and that should do the trick for you.

Hi

I have been getting the "unable to connect to ccd process" error also. I just hit enter to accept the message and don't worry about it. I haven't seen a need to spend any effort at problem resolution as of yet.

I've noticed this to be a problem with the SBC connection manager, a complete uninstall/reinstall of the SBC components should solve the problem (i've noticed this problem to crop up after presence of the MSBlaster worm, or other variants, although it happens in their absence as well). First go to start->programs->sbc yahoo dsl->uninstall sbc applications. next->Select all->next->next->next, sit back and wait. Then go to start->(settings if you are not using XP)->control panel->add/remove programs. Select SBC connection manager and change/remove. Do the same with Broadjump Client Foundation. Also do the same with Enternet 300 (If you do not have XP). After doing this, you should be able to reboot and everything should be off. After that, pop in the SBC CD, and run through the install, after that it should work. I have yet to test this myself, but it's what SBC will do if you call them up (It's what I'd do at least).

I just wanted to say to that fix about disabling it in start manager is ok but you will have to start sbc connection manager manually that way. The ccd process is the sbc connection manager trying to connect EnterNet or whatever your client is to the network. I also get a "cannot connect to gateway" error.

I had the same problem. Try this: go to run and type "ccd". This starts the process. Now try to start the connection manager. It should kick-off.

I had this error occasionally, which resolved itself. Then had it repeatedly, especially when trying to open my SBC/Yahoo browser, and it became non-operational. Tried disabling the start up list, Sana, but that didn't work for me. (I'm on Win98 v 2). Called SBC/Yahoo - suggested I call OEM Compaq. Called Compaq - no clue. Called Dell as I'm using a wireless Dell adapter. They said the error message comes from a program called Command Manager, and have I downloaded that lately? No, but did have a bundle (about 12 programs) of adware that secretly installed itself the day before the problem got critical. Short version of long story: I reformatted my hard drive. So far, I have not gotten the error message. Did a search on Google for program and command manager. Apparently lots of legitimate programs contain something called command manager. Reformatting a hard drive is an extreme fix, but seems to have worked for me.

try and disable the 'start-up' list by typing 'msconfig' in the RUN box after clicking on START...click apply and click ok..restart the system...you shouldn't get that msg again..
Best of Luck..

Have begun to have this show up on my monitor, and there is nothing operational in my computer. I'm a rookie at trouble shooting - what is a CCD process? What is the solution to this?
