fatal exception OE 0028:000000xx Post a Reply
From: Gail on 11/24/2003
Whenever I try to boot or re-boot my computer I always get one or both of the following messages:

A fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:00000009

- or -

A fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:00000015

What is causing this, and how can I fix it so I can boot my PC?

I get a similar erroe message when I have been tying to get my WPC11 Version 3 card to work in my AST Ascentia M laptop (Windows 98 SE) with a TI-1131 Cardbus Controller.

After I insert the card I get: "A Fatal Exception 0D at 0028:00000003 error.

try this
when starting the pc press ctrl or f8
select command prompt only

type the following

scanreg /restore

then select a date from the list
this should set up the computer on the last good config
